Wonder Girls thrills fans with titillating dance moves

They are more than just pretty faces.

With enviable hot bods, well-toned gams, and hot dance moves, the Wonder Girls have also achieved worldwide fame -- thanks to their hit single, Nobody. Surely, you must have crooned to the tune's catchy beats -- at one point in time -- while clapping your hands, and mimicking their signature dance moves from the song.

In Singapore to promote Sony Ericsson's latest series of mobile phones, the Wonder Girls threw their first official Music Showcase in Singapore last night to a rousing crowd of eager fans at Marina Bay Sands Expo Centre.

Their first visit to the island in 2008 was for the Korean Pop Night as they performed with fellow k-acts to entertain the local crowd. Five lucky winners from xinmsn each walked away with an exclusive pair of passes to the music showcase as tickets were only available through redemption from the purchase of Sony Ericsson mobile phones.

Before Friday's showcase and in-between their packed schedule on Thursday, the bubbly quintet found time to visit the Night Safari and the Wave House at Sentosa. They also traveled from one locale to another for a total of four meet-and-greet sessions with fans yesterday.

Despite being household figures with successful careers, the Wonder Girls are as grounded as during their salad days, impressing fans with their humility and hardworking traits.

Koh Yi Wei, who was the first person in the queue, started her wait with four fellow friends at 9pm on Thursday night. The ardent supporter of the Wonder Girls shared that their "down to earth characters" strongly appealed to her, and added that she has been supporting them for the past two years.

At around 8.10pm, the Wonder Girls finally kicked off their music showcase and performed their latest music single, '2 Different Tears'. Decked out in fashionable tie-dye blue togs from jumpsuits to pantsuits, the girls flaunted their pretty pins and drove the crowd gaga with their pouts and come-hither dance moves.

They amped up the atmosphere in the expo centre with the sexy number 'Don't Cha' by the Pussycat Dolls, jiggied to the rhythm of 'So Hot', displayed their vocal ranges in an Acapella number, and got the crowd shuffling their feet when they belted out to the all-familiar finale songs, 'Nobody' and 'Tell Me'.
