Hyun Bin and Song Hye-kyo confirm break-up
Hyun Bin's entertainment agency, AM Entertainment released an official statement confirming the rumored breakup.
The breakup announcement came one day after Hyun joined the Marines on Monday (March 7).
The relationship between the two actors began in 2008 when they starred together in the television drama, "The World They Live In." Later the couple admitted they were in a relationship.
Their relationship began to show some cracks as they were engaged in tight scheduling due to their roles in dramas, movies and events for foreign fans.
The star couple was also under enormous pressure, particularly regarding malicious rumors suggesting their imminent breakup, and due to the tight schedule on both sides they could not find time to work out the problem, the agencies explained.
The agencies said they postponed the announcement because Hyun didn't want to bring up such a personal matter while greeting his fans for the final time before starting his two-year duty with the Marines.
Song is currently filming the movie "Today," in which she will be playing the leading role.
Song had always been in the center of media spotlight for dating famous actors such as Lee Byung-hun and previously rumors circulated claiming that she was also in a romantic relationship with popular singer Rain.
