Singapore Trip
It's that time of year when relatives come and visit us here in SG. This year my sister is coming together with her 2 kids. I was gonna let her stay at home but why waste 2 hours daily traveling right?
Unfortunately, all deluxe rooms are already take for today so I booked them to a Kampung unit. Amazingly cheap at $49 per room per night. Its got 4 beds. But the toilet is shared with other Kampung occupants.
The Deluxe room last night came with breakfast. So started the day with breakfast and headed to the Resorts World by taking tram to the Beach Station and taking Sentosa Express.
Then headed back home to fix their baggages and preparing for their 7pm flight.
Whew!
What a packed 6 days trip.
DAY 1
Arrive at 1030pm in SG.
TIP : When taking cab, aim to reach your destination before midnight when the surcharge is at its worst. Make everything at immig and baggage collection fast and easy. Don't linger at the airport.
Booked them at a deluxe room in Costa Sands in Sentosa. You won't be able to find any other cheaper hotel inside Sentosa.

TIP: Request a Singapore resident to book for you. Price is cheaper than hotels. They don't count occupants.

Booked the 3 of them to a full day of fun at the Universal Studios.
TIP: Book the tickets online. Usually Mastercard have RWS promo. For our case I bought the tickets through qoo10.
It was raining so most of the attractions were closed (sucks really). Because of that they ended quite early. Before 5pm in fact.
Took train to Vivo City for quick dinner and a little shopping.
DAY 3
The Kampung rooms don't have breakfast but there's a lot of food places at the Beach Station to have a good breakfast. Or save it for Vivo City.
There's free shuttle from the Costa Sands to Vivo City every hour from 9:15am till 4:15pm.
They left their baggage at Costa Sands and just brought clothes for today and tomorrow.
We spent the day at the Singapore Zoo.

TIP: Bring swimwear... the kids fountain is great on a hot day at the zoo!
Checked in at the Big Hotel in Bugis for the night. Small room but amazing bed. Super soft.

They spent the night walking around Marina Bay area. Watching the 930pm water and laser show at the promenade. Perks of booking hotel in city area!
DAY 4
They started the day with the River Cruise.
TIP: Book only. It will save you almost 50%. Don't go so early. Schedule says 830am but they didn't start the trip till about 930am.
Lunch was at Plaza Singapura before they headed to the church to attend my kid's baptism.
I rented a shuttle bus to ferry my guests to Sentosa for the reception.
Tonight I checked them in Costa Sands again so they can explore Sentosa some more after the party at Port of Lost Wonder.

There's the Skyride, Luge, Wings of Time, Underwater world, Aquarium
DAY 5
Scheduled today as the bird park day but it was raining heavily. We still went but took the tram and didn't really walked around. We arrived past 11am and left just before 2pm.

TIP: Have lunch at Boon Lay. More choices. Cheaper.
Took MRT and proceeded to the mall for shopping since we didn't have much choice because of the rain.
They went to China town after shopping for MORE shopping before heading back to Sentosa Costa Sands.
DAY 6
Checked out at Sentosa and brought all their baggages home. We scheduled today to be hard core shopping.
Starting off at Orchard. Ion, Wisma, Paragon, Takashimaya until Orchard Central. Took cab and went to Ikea for late lunch and some more shopping. Took another cab and went to Changi City Point Mall for outlet shopping.
Then headed back home to fix their baggages and preparing for their 7pm flight.
Whew!
What a packed 6 days trip.
