Cost of 2 kids
Just thinking aloud... Having 2 kids.. in Singapore.. is NOT cheap.
For us, here are the basic expenses in a month:

For us, here are the basic expenses in a month:
- 1 900g milk - weekly - $43 x4 = $172
- 1 merries pack - every 2 weeks - $16.90 x 2 = $33.80 (one per kid per night)
- 3 mamy poko pack - every 2 weeks - $11.90 x 3 = $35.70 x 2 = $71.40 (4-5 per kid per day)
- 1 multivitamins - once per month - $55 (GNC or TMC brand)
- 2 probiotics -
- 1 head and body soap - $23 (Aveeno or Chico brand)
- Toiletries (laundry soap, laundry detergent, bottle cleaner) - $30
- 3 boxes Distilled Water - $5.90x3=$17.70
The above cost does not include:
- Child care (if you need). I looked around and found out that private/international childcare costs $1200++. The ones below the HDB blocks (no aircon) are around $700++
- Nanny (if you need). $500++ plus levy $280++. You have to factor in the insurance and home leave costs also
- Food + juices (~$80 per month)
- Medical (vaccine, consultations)
- Taxi (to and from clinics)
- Recreational activities
School isn't even in the equation yet.
Just math. But anyway.. every moment with the kids are priceless! :)
