Finally got a friend who's going home to Manila from Singapore to carry my sister's new iPad 2.
I've always thought that SG price is cheaper than PH price. But.. I forgot the SGD got stronger. So at the current exchange rate of $34.50, I think it would have been so much more practical if I just bought from the PH site. :(
Apple PH selling it at 34500 PHP
Apple SG sells it at 978 SGD ~ 33741PHP.
Geez it would have saved me the trouble of finding someone going home to send it over. And save the effort of that person to pass it to my sister. :(
Plus the warranty would have been guaranteed local. Okay... lesson learned.
