Tai Cheong Bakery Egg Tarts
These egg tarts are arguably the best in Singapore. Way better than KFC's (which I find was the best earlier). Each tart costs ~$1.80-$2.

The shells are very buttery, the filling comes near the leche flan texture. (Which gives me an idea to try baking once I have time!)
Technically the tarts are indeed good. But why did I gave it a fail? The service was horrible. I now understand why there's so much queue at the Takashimaya branch. Imagine they had 7 staff. 2 were busy baking. Well, they were pouring the filling to the tarts. At least they were working. 2 on the counter were busy. Flirting! The F! The girl was clearly smitten. Love love. Much as I appreciate love. Well not at the work place dear. And the other staff were busy doing their own stuff. Laughing and chit chatting. One was rude telling me to move. Well, you are not giving me my tarts but you want to fix the line? Two were busy passing a tart. I think she was ending shift and bringing one tart home. Well. Anyway. The tarts were not good enough to be worthy of a good review after the horrible service.
Fix it up Tai Cheong Bakery. Chow!
