Georgetown Penang
There were many people offering taxi rides as soon as we alighted from the ship. It was difficult to say whether you are being cheated as we had no idea how much is the right price. I wish they had an official tour operator (well, there is at the ship but it was so steep!)
We got offered 50 Ringgit per pax , then later 40 per pax. I decided to decline and just walk around the area on our own as the stop was almost 5 hours only. One of our fellow passengers took the 120 ringgit offer. She said they were taken to a temple and for lunch and that's it. Whew! I'm so glad we didn't go.
We were greeted by bored Malay singers. Haha. Felt like they have been doing this for so long that they are tired of it.
The whole Georgetown felt like Malaysia's version of our Philippine's Intramuros.
We had our best pictures at this empty lawn. Picturesque!
As we walked around the area, we saw St George's church.
